Shade Protocol: How To Buy SCRT To Claim Your SHD Airdrop
In order to claim your $SHD airdrop, users are required to have a small amount of SCRT in a keplr wallet. The following is a tutorial on how to acquire SCRT on Osmosis and send it to your Secret Network Keplr wallet in order to be able to claim your Shade Protocol airdrop.
Requirements
- ~$5 worth of any token that is traded on Osmosis
- Keplr Wallet
- ~10 minutes of time
Steps
- Navigate to the “Osmosis Assets” page and deposit ATOM/LUNA/etc.
- Navigate to the “Osmosis Trade” page to trade/convert ATOM← → SCRT or from LUNA← → SCRT
- Swap / Buy SCRT
- Navigate to the “Osmosis Assets” page and withdraw SCRT to your Secret Network Keplr Wallet
- Navigate to the “Shade Protocol Airdrop Claim” page
- Claim your SHD airdrop using SCRT from your Keplr wallet

Step 1 — Navigate to Osmosis Assets Page (Deposit)
Navigate to the Osmosis Assets Page which allows users to deposit assets from any IBC compatible network onto Osmosis.
Click on “Deposit” for the desired assets that you wish to transfer to Osmosis in order to buy SCRT. Complete the deposit transaction.
Upon completion of the successful transaction, your assets will now appear on the Osmosis Assets Page.
Step 2 — Navigate to Osmosis Trade Page
Navigate to the “Osmosis Trade” page to trade/convert ATOM← → SCRT or from LUNA← → SCRT
Step 3 — Swap/Buy SCRT
On the “Swap” interface on the right side, under the FROM interface, select select LUNA, ATOM, or any token of your choice. Next, under the TO interface, select SCRT.
Next, enter in the amount of SCRT you would like to purchase. This tutorial assumes you will be making a claim on (at most) 3 addresses: ATOM, SCRT, and LUNA. The claiming process costs ~0.3 SCRT per address, and thus this tutorial assumes you will need ~1.25 SCRT to successfully claim your Shade Protocol airdrop. Transaction on Secret Network (what Shade Protocol is built on top of) requires SCRT to perform transactions. As such, it is good practice to have enough SCRT in your Keplr wallet to perform your desired transactions.
Finally, once you have entered your desired amount on the Osmosis interface, click the “Swap” button to acquire your SCRT.
Step 4 — Navigate to Osmosis Assets Page (Withdraw)
Navigate to the Osmosis Assets Page which allows users to withdraw assets from Osmosis back to any IBC compatible network. In this case, we will be withdrawing the SCRT just purchased on Osmosis back to Secret Network so that you can claim your Shade Protocol airdrop.
Enter the desired amount you would like to “withdraw” to Secret Network and click “Withdraw”.
Step 5 & 6 →Navigate To Shade Protocol And Claim
In the final steps, navigate to the Official Shade Protocol Airdrop Claim page. Walk through the steps, and claim your SHD airdrop with your recently acquired SCRT! (This will be updated in the near future)
